Business Objects and Oracle Financials Upgrade

Good morning,

We have a new test environment because we’re moving form Oracle Financials 10.5 to 10.7. Some of the table names changed from one version to another so in my 10.7 environment I had to create new synonyms, and in designed I renamed and refreshed the structure of my tables. All of the queries are working fine but when I run an integrity check on the tables I still get the message for all of the new table names ‘“Tablename” is not in the database structure’.

I used to get this message when we were missing a synonym but I know that is not the case, we just renamed the tables. I don’t want to reinsert the table because then I’ll have to recreate all of my objects. Has anyone else encountered this?

Thanks,

Julie

Julie,

No need to create new synonyms,as Orafin 10.7 already has Views with original names for backward compatibility under user FND or FNDAPPS (not very sure).
So the only change required would be to remap the owner of the tables from AP/AR/GL etc. to FND i.e. Change your universe connection to FND. There is a different team at our site that did Orafin upgradation, and this is what I gather from them. If you have any specific question, e-mail me directly.
