We are currently on version 4.1.2 and are looking at upgrading sometime in the near future. Although right now we are currently going through a lot of other upgrades and may wait for the Bus Ob upgrade. My question is has anyone heard about a time frame on the 6.0 version comming out. Any insight or information on what Business Objects has planned with 6.0 or other versions of 5.0 would be greatly appreciated.

What we’ve been told by our account representative is that ZABO (Zero Administration Business Objects), the next major release, is due out this fall. It is supposed to make Webi look and work much like the full client (hopefully without all the bugs).

In my humble opinion, it will be much, much later than the fall for this release. From what I understand the current application architecture does not support the synchronization and running of multiple queries in one report. Remember how many times version 5 was delayed. If I am in error I apologize on this matter. Simon

There was a demo version shown at the last user conference, I think fall is not unbelievable…

What they showed did not have the capability to do everything that the full client did. There was some smoke and mirrors!
