implementation
Although B.O. has its good points the one bad point I have to say is to use B.O. as a DSS. That is, unless your application is very small and very simple. B.O. is great as an adhoc tool or for batch processing but it demands to much out of its environment resulting in a performance nightmare.
Some folks from B.O. (or B.O. gurus would agree as well)
hope you find what your looking to get,
joe

Since two (or more) are better than one I am resorting to the professionals pool on LISTSERV. I am developing a PowerPoint presentation that is going to be tailored for company decision makers. This implies CEO’s CFO’s Board Members. The intent of the presentation is to create consensus to utilize BO 5.0 as the front end piece for DSS (i.e. Why should BO be implemented? What are the benefits? What about BO adds to competitive advantage? …etc.) While I have read a tremendous amount of material regarding BO, utilizing viewpoints other than mine would be great and I welcome all input
If anybody would like to contribute their insight, experience or thoughts as it relates to the outlined project I would gladly accept all contributions.
Thank you ALL.
