Hi
When a BO report has number values formated as £**** in the report. There seems to be a problem importing this into EXcel.
For some reason when importing a txt file created by saving a BO report to text, Excel thinks the text origin (in the text import wizard) is ‘932 Japanese’ and imports £ as squares
Windows XP
BO 5.1.6
Excel 2003
Any ideas??

Im a bit confused, do you mean how do you change it?
ie. Text import wizard, then Choose the option in the “File origin”
drop down menu
Or do you mean why does it not work with the default japanese setting?

When you open a Text File in Excel it opens up a Import Wizard and there you specify the type of ANSI as outlined by Bloke…
