BO and XML

Hi All,
Does anybody has any information, wether BO is going to support XML in next version. I mean bot to read XML files and publish XML files…

Ronen,
Yes, look for B.O to support XML in its next major point release. There was some talk of this at this year’s user conference. I even thought I heard they were working on a Q1 2000 release date, although that seems rather early. Either way, be assured that B.O. will embrace the XML standard in the future. Talk to your sales rep., who should be able to provide you with more information.

Devon,

BO has no native support for XML. However the new jsp tag library (JASPER) which is finishing Beta now will support XML/XSLT when developing with the JavaBean SDK for webi. Feel free to contact me directly for some other ideas about how to integrate BO and XML.

There is an xml addin ( vb Macro ) which alows all reports to use Xml as the source and export the results to xml.

This works well.

Its not too difficult to write your own if required, using the Microsoft Dom.

I think this is available from the partner website.

My name is kiruba. my requirement is, i have to create universe using XML as data source. i found that, this is possible in BO XI R2 version. but other than this new version, i dont know how to use ‘xml as data source’.
