If it’s a Win98 machine, how old is it? How much memory does it have? How much virtual memory?
How much data is the query returning, and how complex is the report? Are there lots of computed variables and formulas? It might be more than the poor old machine can handle.
Also, you don’t say whether the user is using full-client, ZABO or WebI/Infoview.
