I think there could be a number of possibilities here. Check to ensure your WebI settings are the same as other users. Make sure you have proper access on Supervisor to access the reports. See if you can create a new user and have it accessed through your machine. This should tell you whether it is a machine issue on your machine, or a settings issue.

Which report panel u r trying to use? Java or Active X
Do you have WSAD or Java S/W installed on your machine?

User has access to create documents, create documents option is set to Enhanced viewer.
Its happening only with one user.

Check User Browser settings.
Does his settings allow him to download any Active X plugins. etc.
This might be the cause he is getting blank page.
Verify in Internet Options --> General Tab
Temporary internet files --> Settings -->View objects .
Does he have Webintelligence 2.7 Report Editor control
?
Check it out…

Has the problematic laptop done anything to try to prevent ActiveX from running? Has someone changed IE settings? Has someone run some sort of Adware/Spyware software and innoculated itself against Active X?

Anita,
The user seems to be having problem adter desktop services in our company send microsoft patch MSO 4-013 patch was sent to standard IE 5.5 SP2 user.

I don’t know of any specific problems with that patch and ActiveX, since we don’t usually use ActiveX.
But I bet it was a security patch. Maybe it has something to do with only allowing administrators to install applications?
Here’s a shot in the dark. How about trying this.
Then, someone who has Administrative rights on that computer log in to Windows. Delete the ActiveX applet from IE.
Then log into WebI and try to create a document – causing the ActiveX applet to download and install (hopefully).
Does that help?

Anita,
User having problems have adminstrative right on the machine.Do you still want me to delete the active x applet from IE?

rao – perhaps you’re at a point you need to submit a case to tech support – I’ve just offered some possible suggestions to pursue, and can’t give a definitive answer.
