I had opened a case with SAP regarding an issue that I was having with the Universe Design Tool in BI 4.3sp4 patch 5.
I was directed to a KBA,
3028832 - Which features are deprecated in SAP BusinessObjects BI platform 4.3? (
, SAP Support Site login required).
This KBA states that the Universe Design Tool is deprecated beginning with BI 4.3sp2 and above. Apparently this was released on July 02, 2025.
This was news to me and is not consistent with the Support Platforms documentation nor with our current experience using the Universe Design Tool which appears to still be functioning normally.
I find it odd that documentation is published after a release that says content is deprecated.
Iām not sure what to do with this because, as I said, the Universe Design Tool so far appears to be functioning normally in BI4.3sp4 patch 5. Just a heads up if anyone needs to contact support regarding Universe Design Tool questions.
