When I import a file of excel 97 into a report standard with B.O. 6.1b,I have this error:
ERROR:CDaoException
SCODE_CODE=340
SCODE_FACILITY=4
SCODE_SEVERITY=1

Help!!!
I donβt think there is such a thing. My understanding is that the Excel file format hasnβt changed since Excel 97 (per this link). Excel 97, 2000, 2002/XP, and even 2003 all use the same file format. There may be functionality differences that might be lost going backward, but the file format is the same.
And what makes it more confusing is the export function from the data manager. In Excel, if you choose save as, βExcel filesβ is first in the list and is the latest format. You have to specifically choose if you want to downgrade. In BusObj, exporting to a local file, βExcel filesβ is listed as the first Excel option, but is actually the VERY OLD format (16,384 row limit, and so forth). You have scroll down to select the latest (Excel 97) format β¦ confusing indeed .
how did you fix this problem? It is giving me the same error when I am trying to access data from a Excel spreadsheet. I have made sure I save the Excel sheet as MS Excel 97-2000 workbook. I am using BO 5.1.7.
Any other reason why it would do this?I appreciate any help.
