I am currently working on Audi_Web universe to track user activity.
But a lot of user sessions are affected to user name “unknown”.
I suppose that I have to take it out to obtain right figures but I woul like to know what exactly is this user…
You’ll find the “unknown” user used in several places. One is when the user first hits the login screen. Before the log on, they are “unknown”. After the log out they are also “unknown”. You should not see the unknown user attached to any significant events like refreshing a document, however.
According to your message, if I want to retrieve only “real” sessions (without retrieving actions fields), I just have to exclude use “unknown” from my Query.
Do you agree ?
I found the following information about user “unknown”. It is bug (Id : 10745743) :
User unknown in WebI (NOT just for login and logout)
WebI shows “unknown” user even though the user has logged in and has been authenticated. It is normal if user has not yet logged in, or has just logged out - but WebI shows unknown even when the event ID is NOT for login/logout. It should not be possible for user to be “unknown”
There should be more information on what this data is, or should be - or there should be a help text that explains all the possible causes of “unknown”.
it’s a functional bug and not a french only. That’s why it’s put as English now. [/color]
