amending a stored proceedure or ordering of DP's

I have created a report that has taken ages to write and has numous DP’s.

The very first dp, is a call to a stored proc. This stored proc has had it’s name changed (clever I know !!!)

I need to do one of two things either amend the dp to call the new proc, or if that’s not possible, I’ll have to create a new dp - but the proc outputs to a table, and other dp access that table - so I need the stored proc to run first.

After searching it would appear that you can not change the dp run order - am I right?

or do you think that it won’t be a problem?

Maybe there’s another way?

Hi James,

if you do not succeed in renaming the procedure in the first DP and you would need to recreate the report again then maybe you will be interested in the BO add-in that enables to copy DP from one report to another. You can find it in BOB’s download:

And yes, you can not change the order in which DPs run unless you use some VBA code.
