Amazon S3 as Business Objects FileStore?

Has anyone tried using Amazon S3 as the location for the FileStore with on-premise installation of Business Objects?

I would assume that potential latency could be an issue with this.

Have you checked if this is an supported solution by SAP?

I wouldn’t advice it any way. Latency is one, what about availability?

Hi,

S3 is an object-storage system, not a block-storage one. BOBJ need a block-storage in this case. Best option here is probably AWS EFS on linux or AWS FSx for windows, it’s basically a shared drive!
