Alias and Contexts

Hi BOB,

I am new to Business Objects and I have installed business objects and started practicing with the efashion universe. As I have the .mdb file I tried creating the universe again.

I have a little confusion in universe designing. Especially the Join path problems and the traps

If I have a loop between tables when should I use a Alias and when should I use a context.
And does the inbuilt function Integrity check checks for the TRAPS ?
Or should they be examined manually.

As a general rule, if a table plays more roles then it’s a perfect candidate for an alias. If a loop is caused by different purposes of involved tables then contexts should be used.

No, it does not.

Yes. And setting all join cardinalities will help you in that examination.
