ACTUATE & BO.

Business Objects XI uses a file repository structure which is just like Actuate. The difference is that the file repository on XI is encrypted. Report-wise, Actuate reports are very similar to Crystal reports in structure, but entirely different to the Web Intelligence (or WebI for short) reports.
I have not been using Actuate for several years, but as far as I can remember, Actuate does not have the same concept of Universes as in BO.
