Access Violation - Not able to log in to bods repository

Experts,

I am using BODS 4.0.

After logging in to repository, I could see my repository on the down pane.

When I am double clicking the repository, after some time designer logon window is exiting without doing anything.

Any idea why this is happening, everything was working ok earlier.

I will assume this happens on your local machine and not on the server…

  1. Method you access the Repository. I mean, your location compared to where the server is and where the repository database server is
  2. Supported Platforms for a client Data Services. Try doing a test. Pull open your Task Manager before starting to access designer. Goto Performance tab and then access designer and see how your CPU performance and Memory Performance spikes up…
  3. Some client installation issue maybe

Is there a solution to this? I am facing the same issue. I already re-installed the tool, 4.2.5 and Patch Level 5. I can login to the designer from the server machine but cannot login from my local machine. I was able to login to designer until 10 days back and then designer started crashing upon trying to login, all of a sudden, from one fine day.
ErrorLog says:Exception code: C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION
