BusinessObjects Board

64 bit RHEL 4.8 / BOXI R2 SP4

Hello,
Hope all is well…i recently installed Business Objects on a RHEL 4.8 machine. The BO tables are housed in mysql. BO is up and running…can hit central management console as well as infoview. When I run a report it tells me failed to load database information. I can use sqlplus to hit the database from that server.

Our reports use a universe…does anyone know how to access the universe connection without using the designer tool? is it stored in a file on the linux machine? I’d like to see if it is set up properly.

Also, we used a 64bit 10.2.0 oracle client because the server admin states that 32 bit client is not suppported on a 64bit server.

Thank you!
Dusty

Welcome to B:bob:B!

Try this utility that documents universe connections:

However, I am afraid that if you want to modify a universe connection you need to open a universe where the connection is used in Designer and to make the changes there. I am not aware of any other way.

Dear Gurus,
Please let me know how 32 bit application can connect to 64 bit database.
