Although I don’t know all the answers to your question, it’s my understanding from our DBA that Connect 7.23 is an old version and is not fully Y2K compliant.

Hello,
Anybody running BusinessObjects 5.0.1 with Informix Connect on Windows NT? I’ve been having trouble getting this set-up to work. Here’s the details of the problem:
BusinessObjects 4.1.4 with Informix Connect 7.20 on Windows 9x and NT - works fine; always has for us.
BusinessObjects 5.0.1 with Informix Connect 7.20 on Windows 9x - works fine.
BusinessObjects 5.0.1 with Informix Connect 7.20 on Windows NT - gives me an error - “The ordinal 605 could not be located in the dynamic link library ISQLT07C.DLL (SBO0009)”.
The BusinessObjects documentation says that they only support version 7.23 of Informix Connect, but so far I have been unable to get a copy of this version to see if it will fix the problem. And, Business Objects won’t field any questions since they don’t “support” this version with 5.0. Informix says that this is an “old” version of Informix Connect so it’s hard to get a copy of it (I’ve been waiting for over a week for our sales rep to get us a copy). I’ve also downloaded the “newer” version (9.x) of Informix Connect using the SDK that is available on the Informix/Intraware site. But, this driver doesn’t seem to work either. With it, I get some kind of error about a “float to decimal conversion”.
I’m getting both of these errors even when I try to create a new connection/key file, doing a safe recovery with Supervisor. Anybody else run into these problems with Informix? Will version 7.23 of Informix Connect fix this? Anybody have the “newer” (9.x) version of Informix Connect working with BusinessObjects 5.0.1 on NT?
Thanks,
