We are in the process of testing a mixed 4.1.3 and 5.0.2 implementation in an isolated environment. The security domain was upgraded to 5.0 and 4.1.3 users can import and export both reports and universes fine. However, if a report is retrieved in 5.0, saved and exported back to the repository I get a DX0008, which basically says to Scan and Repair the security domain. Did that, but there was nothing to repair. Prior to this error, I kept getting an error referencing Broadcast Agent, DX0028, when I tried to send this document to the repository. Has anyone experienced this with 5.0.2? We are using Informix Connect Version 9.21 2.30, Informix server 7.23 on a windows NT machine.
I had a similar error when we upgraded from 4.1.4 to 5.0.1. The problem turned out to be that the DBA had turned logging off on the repository database. Once I had him turn logging back on, everything worked fine.
I noticed that you said you are running with Informix Connect 9.21. I was unable to get that version to work with Business Objects 5.0.1. I kept getting a “float to decimal conversion error” with the 9.x drivers on Windows NT clients. So, I had to go with version 7.23. Informix connect 7.23 works fine, but Informix will be dropping support on it soon. But, that is the only version that Business Objects officially supports, and that was what they told me to use. Did you encounter this error?
We’re running Informix Dynamic Server version 7.31 on AIX 4.3 with Informix Connect 7.23 as the middleware.
