360view XIR3 Security

Hi,

I was just reading a pdf(from GB and Smith): 360view_xi3_new_security_concepts.pdf.

Could some one please help me in understanding what 360view means?

360view is a third party product that enables various kinds of analysis of your XI security model.

Think of 360view as another front end to the CMS.

It is fully web based but in many cases it looks like the old supervisor

Things like “create user like” It will create all the relevant
associations to folders, …
export of your security to XLS to share and review it with human beings. "

And how much is it?

Worth every penny you spend on it.

This is a support forum and pricing details don’t belong here and are way too specif to be dealt with here.

Please contact “Goiffon Sebastien” or myself by e-mail or personal message and we will be very happy to answer your questions.

Just ballpark, are we talking 100s, 1000s or 10000s (euros)?

don’t hold me to this number and again it will depend on many different factors. it is in the 1000s

what really counts is that you can now answer questions like :
how many users have access to deski (try that with the CMS)
never connected users.
Managing security and validating it is 5-10x faster

Thanks to all for feedback.

That means if I do anything on 360, like creating users and folders, automatically all will be created in CMS.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Yes, it’s a “better CMC”

Thanks, you see that wasn’t so hard.
