Is there a simple way to test a QAWS from the browser, passing the parameters on the URL?
Thanks!

no. all you are going to return is the BOBJ service code.
If you dont see that code, you know you have crossdomain or privileged issues. A better way to test QaaWS (and the values of parameters) is to use a program that tracks HTTP traffic. I use Charles. Open Charles, open your dashboard, and fire your queries. You can read the metadata of the qaaws (very well formatted) in the Charles application. There are many programs like Charles, but I have found it instrumental. (its a free trial shareware thing)…but worth the small investment if you are doing Xcelsius alot.
*p.s. No I dont make money from that program. Its just a good piece of software for BOBJ devs…in my opinion. Too bad SAP wont release their own type of software for this.
Also, QaaWS is a dying trend. Look into BIS instead. Its the new, better way to feed your dashboards, but not without it own limitations.

Also look at HTTP Watch.
I am not so sure about QaWS a dying trend, SAP has not published any roadmap regarding this. Although BIWS seems to be better than LiveOffice, and LiveOffice won’t even work with the new UNX universes in SAP BI 4.0, what a BUMMER…
