We are looking into providing a multi-lingual universe. Currently there is one universe in one language with about 150 objects. This universe needs to be available in different languages with the sames objects, etc. and be maintainable easily.
The language strings, as well as, object definitions will be available in a data dictionary (MS Access database).

–> Can we read from our data dictionary to automatically create the universe objects?
an SQL is created which will read the translation from your data dictionary and makes an update in your repository. “Unfortunately” this is not supported by BO.
a second option is to multiply all your objects for every language. You hide then the language you are not using.
I searched, because I knew that this had been discussed before. Turns out it’s still in the archives of the old listserv, which still :? have not been migrated over here for searching.
