In Designer how to sort objects inside a folder?

Hello,

We have many objects inside one folder (class) in the Designer.
We want to sort these objects in alphabetical order.
Is it possible?

I think there might be autillity in the download folder. But why on earth would you want to do that anyway?

Imagine a folder Activities, and under this folder, I have tens of objects:

Activities

  • Register for class
  • Pick up laundry
  • Grocery shopping
  • Wash car
  • Watch TV
  • Exercise

I can’t figure out how to sort these objects to be sorted alphabetically, other than manually moving each object by hand.

I’m pretty sure you’ll have to sort them by hand, I’ve never seen anything that’ll sort them :frowning:

Which BO version do you use? If it’s BO 6.5 and below then I remember one “hack” in the BO repository data that could do that. But it was not supported, obviously.

BO XI R2, but upgrading soon to BO XI 3.1.

Anyway, sorting objects in a folder is not a good practice because doing so breaks the default hierarchy. But if you are using custom hierarchies then it should be OK.
